Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of StockDNA (the "Service"), operated by StockDNA ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Not Investment Advice

StockDNA provides quantitative scores, AI-generated explanations, and data visualizations derived from public financial data for informational and educational purposes only. Nothing on the Service constitutes investment, financial, legal, or tax advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security. Scores and AI explanations reflect our models' interpretation of historical and public data and may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate. You are solely responsible for your own investment decisions, and you should consult a qualified financial advisor before making them.

2. Accounts

Some features require an account, created via email/password or Google sign-in (through Supabase Auth). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

3. Subscriptions and Billing

Paid tiers are billed through our payment processor, Lemon Squeezy, acting as merchant of record. Fees, billing cycles, and cancellation terms are presented at checkout and in your account's billing portal. Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable. We may change pricing prospectively with notice; continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Scrape, reverse-engineer, or systematically extract data from the Service outside of documented functionality;
  • Resell, redistribute, or sublicense Service data or outputs without our written permission;
  • Use the Service to build a competing product;
  • Interfere with the Service's operation or attempt to bypass usage limits or access controls;
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

5. Data Sources and Accuracy

The Service aggregates data from third-party providers and public filings. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any data, score, or AI-generated explanation. The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StockDNA and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or investment losses, arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Service.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time for conduct that violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to other users or the Service. You may stop using the Service, and cancel any subscription, at any time via your account settings.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
