About StockDNA
Free stock analysis for any US stock or ETF. StockDNA scores 2,000+ signals across fundamentals, valuation, technicals, momentum, sentiment, and risk into one 0-100 DNA score, plus plain-English breakdowns, an investing screener, and side-by-side stock comparisons — built for retail investors and traders. StockDNA exists to make US equity research faster and more transparent — replacing hours of spreadsheet-building and tab-switching between a broker app, a fundamentals site, and a chart with one score you can understand at a glance, and a full breakdown underneath it for anyone who wants to check our work.
How Scores Are Calculated
Every DNA Score comes from a fixed, published formula, not a human analyst's opinion. Ten categories — spanning fundamentals, valuation, technicals, momentum, sentiment, and risk — are each scored 0–100 from market data and public financial statements, then combined into one weighted composite. The full methodology, including exactly how each category is scored and weighted, is published on our Research page — see it applied to a real stock on any stock's DNA page.
Our Data
Quotes, fundamentals, and technicals are sourced from public market data providers and refreshed on a fixed schedule — our tracked universe of S&P 500 and high-interest tickers are rescored automatically every weekday evening after market close, so scores reflect the latest available data rather than a stale snapshot. AI-generated explanations summarize what the underlying numbers show; they are generated from the same scored data a visitor sees on the page, not from separate, unpublished reasoning.
What StockDNA Is Not
StockDNA is a research and screening tool, not a substitute for professional advice. We do not manage money, do not receive compensation for covering any specific security, and do not tell you to buy or sell anything — every score is presented as an objective, data-driven label, not a recommendation.
Corrections & Feedback
If you spot a data error, a bug, or anything on the site that looks wrong, we want to know about it — scores are only useful if the underlying data is right. Email contact@stockdna.app with the ticker and what looks off, and we'll look into it.
